After one of Beethoven's performances
several people were offering him their

Weight control is identical -
though practicing for 40 years are not the
worlds we wan to hear! Most people would
prefer to buy the magazine with the

in the hopes of finding a quick solution
rather than start a daily diet and
exercise program.
It's an instant messaging,
plug-and-play world. Too often we bring
that instant gratification thinking into
our lives when it is just not appropriate.
We have little patience for the business
idea that doesn't show an immediate return
and we aren't interested in learning how
to do something - we just want to do it
and we want to do it - now.

is just not reality.

So what is reality for the person
who want a quick weight loss?
The answer lies in learning, in as
short a period of time, exactly what foods
we eat that are causing this excess weight
and then we must learn how to control our
intake of those foods.
No, do not give up your favorite
chocolate bar! Lift is meant to be full of
please and if that chocolate is part of
that pleasure do not give it up or you
will feel miserable and this will affect
your whole day and life. So - if I don't
give it up, won't I keep putting on
weight? Yes you will, if you continue in
the present pattern. You must change your
eating pattern. When do you eat that
chocolate bar? When you are hungry or when
you need comfort in those 'down' times
which we all have? 
If it is when you are hungry then
you must eat something else instead - the
chocolate bar needs to be reserved for
'special moments', and so replace it with
some fruit or crunchy fresh vegetables
like carrots. Or if you must, eat just
half the chocolate bar and save the other
half for the next time life is getting on
top of you.
Never eat in front of the TV, always go
to the eating area (a dining table, the
kitchen, wherever) and site down and eat,
even if it is just a cookie. Snacking is
probably one of the biggest causes of
excess weight and it is that aspect we
must learn to change in our lives.
Never eat standing up - it is too easy!
Train yourself to go to that eating area,
before you put anything into your
mouth.
Like Beethoven, recognize that the only
magic about anything in life is to be
found in practise, and that includes
training ourselves to eat good foods and
to eat in the right places at the right
time.
