Or if you must, eat just half the chocolate bar and save the other half for the next time life is getting on top of you.

Never eat in front of the TV, always go to the eating area (a dining table, the kitchen, wherever) and site down and eat, even if it is just a cookie. Snacking is probably one of the biggest causes of excess weight and it is that aspect we must learn to change in our lives.

Never eat standing up - it is too easy! Train yourself to go to that eating area, before you put anything into your mouth.

Like Beethoven, recognize that the only magic about anything in life is to be found in practise, and that includes training ourselves to eat good foods and to eat in the right places at the right time.
